ABOUT THE HOSTS:
GOOSE
Aaron “Goose” Seller is a Detroit native who, after 21 years, has returned home to host the “Goose & Reneé” morning show on New Country 93.1. Goose grew up just north of Eight Mile in Oak Park until the age of 16 when his family moved to West Bloomfield, where he then graduated from Walled Lake Western.
Goose’s love of music began when he served as the disc jockey for US Blades in West Bloomfield, eventually earning him the position as the head on-air personality for both Tiki Bob‘s and Have a Nice Day Cafe in Pontiac. Goose is extremely excited to return to the Fisher Building, as this is where his radio career began as a part-time promotions team member.
In fact, Goose missed Detroit so much that during his 13-year tenure in Colorado, he opened Rock City Sliders and Coneys, a coney and slider restaurant to emulate some of his favorite places from the city. Goose is a huge foodie who can’t wait to discover all of the new restaurants that have opened up around the Metro Detroit area while he was away.
When he has free time, Goose loves to be outdoors; and more specifically on the golf course. He also enjoys cooking on his grill, his smoker, and his blackstone. He is the proud owner of a lazy and stubborn English bulldog, which he hopes to eventually take to a dog park when it fits into her 23-hour sleep schedule.
RENEE
Born and raised in the Metro Detroit area, Renee Vitale is no stranger to the city and all it has to offer. She’s been working in radio for the past 23 years, so although being a part of New Country 93.1 as the morning host is a new scene for her, it isn’t her first rodeo! Listeners can tune in on Renee on New Country on weekdays from 6 to 10 a.m.
Renee comes from an Italian background, and she has one younger sister named Carla, who is her partner in crime. Although she doesn’t have kids, she’s a great fur mom to her blind shih Tzu named Lillie and her one-eyed pug named Carl. Neighbors would describe her house as, “The Land of the Misfits.” Renee has always loved country music and her first country concert was Luke Bryan.
When she’s not hosting her morning show or being a fur mom, Renee enjoys boating, trying out new restaurants, and watching makeup tutorials on YouTube. She gets a kick out of “stupid humor,” watching movies such as “Tommy Boy” and “Step Brothers,” which are her personal favorites.
